Kids can get pretty sensitive about being picked up from school by their parents, especially as they grow older. They think it’s not cool and like to get it over without attracting too much attention from their fellow students. But TikToker Jevin Smith isn’t allowing his daughter Jayna to get off that easily.
When picking up Jayna from her LA high school, Smith likes to put on a bit of a show to embarrass his daughter. He is usually doing some kind of dance on the street as his daughter walks up to the car and always puts in a bit extra effort to attract attention.
Smith records most of his embarrassing pickups and later shares them on social media. They have been quite popular on TikTok, regularly getting millions of views. For example, a recent clip showing a school pickup based on a music video for OutKast’s “Hey Ya!” received 9.3 million views.
You would think that Jayna got tired of her dad’s antics, but it actually isn’t so. While she was upset by it at first, she now actually enjoys his performances.
“There’s never a time when I’m upset. He’s like a celebrity at school now. Everyone loves his TikTok,” she shared with Today.
