One lawyer mom recently went on social media to share “important things” she will be telling her kids. And it’s something every parent should share with their kids as well.

According to Angela Cenedella, who goes by @thelawyerangela on TikTok, the first thing kids should know is that if they “do something dumb and get thrown in jail,” they shouldn’t confess when they call their parents over the ‘phone.

“Don’t you dare call me and say, ‘Mom, I did something terrible,’” she says in the video that got more than six million views on TikTok.

According to her, those phone calls are being recorded. Instead, the kids should simply call their parents and tell them where they are.

The second piece of advice is to tell the kids not to keep trauma for themselves. If something bad happens to them, they should immediately seek “physical and emotional care.” This is mainly because of their health but also because it can be beneficial in case of the need for legal action.

The final, and perhaps the most important advice, Cenedella will have for their kids is to “stop at your first mistake.”

“I say do not break more laws because you’re covering up the first bad thing,” she explains. “This is how people spiral.”

Check out her video in full below, and make sure to share Cenedella’s advice with your kids because it might serve them well sometime.
