It is never too late to start a family, and supermodel Naomi Campbell provides a perfect example. After welcoming her first child in 2021 at the age of 50, Campbell now also welcomed a baby boy at the age of 53.
Campbell shared the happy news on social media by posting a photo of the baby resting in her arms.
“My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. A True Gift from God. Blessed! Welcome Babyboy. It’s never too late to become a mother,” she wrote in the caption while adding several emoticons and a “momoftwo” hashtag.
Campbell’s post was flooded with congratulations from her followers and celebrity friends.
“Congratulations…Such a beautiful blessing,” commented TV personality and actress La La Anthony.
“Oh my goodness! Welcome!! Blessings upon blessings!” Avatar star Zoe Saldana wrote.
“Congratulations Omi!!” fashion designer Donatella Versace added.
Campbell has been open about her desire to take a slow approach to motherhood. She wanted kids but also wanted to wait for the right time. And that time came in 2021 and then again two years later.
“I think about having children all the time,” she said back in 2017 in an interview with Evening Standard. “But now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want.”
