Oscar Winner Zoe Saldaña Reflects on Missing Her Kids During Awards Season

Zoe Saldaña is fresh off winning her first Oscar, but the awards season wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies for the Emilia Pérez actress. She opened up about missing her children on the red carpet at the Academy Awards and said she can’t wait to take them to school now that the awards season is finally over.

Saldaña has been pretty busy promoting the crime musical Emilia Pérez, for which she won a slew of awards, including the Oscar for the best supporting actress on Sunday night. She discussed her plans for the future at the red carpet at the Academy Awards and revealed she has one priority right now – taking her kids to school and picking them up.

“I would want them to finish this school year with their mama by their side because they are so resilient, and they have been backing me up along with my husband this entire campaign. But I miss my children like I miss air, like I miss water, and I just can’t wait to come to school,” she added,” she told E! News.

Saldaña shares three children with husband Marco Perego-Saldaña—ten-year-old twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio and ten-year-old Zen Anton. The Avatar star previously revealed they speak three languages, including English, Italian, and Spanish, since her parents are Dominican, while Perego’s parents hail from Italy.
