]]>Unfortunately, not all parents have the ability to provide their kids with snacks on a daily basis. One mom decided to step in and ensure no kid in her daughter’s school goes through the day without snacks.
Jacksonville, California resident Monet Finnigan was talking with her daughter Charlotte one day and the little girl told her about an observation she had: some students in her school never bring snacks. This prompted Finnigan to go to the grocery store, buy all sorts of snacks, and then donate them to the school so it could hand them out to students.
“I’m sure their parents are doing their best, I wanted to help a little,” Finnigan shared in a clip showing Charlotte delivering a huge cart full of snacks to the school.
Finnigan’s actions quickly spread on social media, with internet users praising her actions and saying that she was setting a great example for her daughter.
“Your daughter will forever remember this! She will be helping/giving to those in need for the rest of her life!” one TikTok user wrote in the comments section of the video.
“That’s awesome. Thank You, and Bless your daughter,” another added.

]]>Now, you shouldn’t force your kids to eat food they don’t like because that will only make them hate it more. Instead, resort to these tips and tricks.
One of the best ways to have your kids consume needed nutrients from food they don’t like is to “hide” them in smoothies. Make a fruit smoothie, but throw in some broccoli, spinach, or carrots. They will make it healthier without changing the taste too much.
Pick out two or three healthy food options and have your kids decide on which one they want. This way, they will feel like they are in charge and will likely be more inclined to eat the option they pick out.
One great way to encourage kids to eat healthy food they don’t like is to make it more fun. Play with the shapes of the food, let them take part in cooking, or even come up with a game that will keep them occupied and not thinking about the fact they are eating something they don’t like.
Finally, if nothing works, you can always try to bribe them. Promise them their favorite food for the next meal if they eat healthy food. You can also let them know they can have a double serving of the dessert or promise them to buy a new toy if they eat healthy for a certain period of time.

]]>Brady is the father to 17-year-old John “Jack” Edward Thomas, 14-year-old Benjamin Rein, and 11-year-old Vivian Lake. During a recent appearance on Fortune Global Forum, the former quarterback opened up about his role as a parent and said out loud something most parents think.
“Being a parent is probably the hardest job all of us have,” Brady shared while recognizing that he has made his fair share of missteps.
“I don’t want to seem like I’m some expert in parenting because I’m certainly not that,” he added.
Brady also talked about his “parenting style,” saying that he always looks to support his kids the way his parents, Galynn and Tom Brady Sr., supported him.
“They never said, ‘Man, don’t do that. It’s gonna be too hard. Let’s do something different. Let’s think about another backup plan,’ “Brady told the audience. “They kinda said, ‘You know what? Go for it. Whatever you wanna be, go for it,’” Brady added.
Brady shares John Edward with actress and model Bridget Moynahan, whom he dated between 2002 and 2006. He welcomed Benjamin Rein and Vivian Lake with his ex-wife, model Gisele Bündchen. Brady and Bündchen got married in 2009 and divorced in 2022.

]]>Some people choose to foster at the same time as having their own children in the home, while others may wait until their children have grown up and moved out of the house. Other people may choose to foster when they have no children of their own but may have relatives and friends with kids who are around a lot. Having other children around doesn’t mean fostering can’t work well, but it does mean you’ll need to think more carefully about the dynamics between all the kids involved.
If you had children a while ago or have never had them before, it can be easy to underestimate how much time you should leave free to look after and spend time with a child in your care. You will want to ensure the child feels totally welcome and at ease in your home.

This offers the birds some much appreciated sustenance which can be hard to come by, especially in winter. It also allows you and your kids to get a good look at the birds that pop by to have some food.
Most parts of the world have an abundance of insects and within your garden, there’s likely to be some fun creatures that your kids will love to study up close. You can make a home for them to temporarily reside in by using a shoebox and lining it with grass or rocks. It’s a good idea to research what your local insects like to ensure their box is set up well for them and take care when gathering them.

]]>Sometimes, siblings can be pitted against each other in an effort to do the best at school, sports, and even social dynamics such as dating. This type of behavior can be identified by continuous comparisons and an emphasis on winning. Just remember to let your kids know that winning isn’t everything and that you are proud of them no matter the outcome so long as they show effort and heart.
While it may seem like a sign of care, being overly involved in each other’s lives is a damaging trait for families. This can lead to a lack of privacy and frustration as a result, particularly if kids feel like they are losing their independence. To stop this behavior, hold an honest familty meeting, giving each family member a chance to air their concenrs and ultimately set healthy boundaries.
This happens whereby parents do not take enough care of their kids’ emotional needs, leaving them to care for themselves. This can often be identified by the oldest children being given too many parental responsibiliities, especially when taking care of younger siblings. Make sure to divide chores evenly between kids, taking special care not to overburden any of your kids more than others.

]]>The post 3 Exciting Ways to Teach Your Kids About History appeared first on parentztalk.com.
]]>One of the most immediate ways of engaging your kids with history is to visit a good museum. Start with a fairly general one, which has displays on ancient and more recent history, before you specialize in more specific exhibitions and displays. Children love finding out about the world through looking at artifacts, and it’s likely that in some museums they will be eager to spend more time there than you!
There are loads of great magazines out there aimed at kids, which will teach them about history (or pretty much any subject you like). Lots of kids like the routine of getting a weekly or monthly magazine through the door, and because the subscription is theirs they can take ownership of the subject. Be warned, it’s likely that if you do opt for a magazine subscription, you will be hearing lots of facts as your child reads them out to you, but at least they will be taking a real interest in history!
Perhaps the most effective way of engaging children in history is to take them to view historical sites. Whether it’s the rugged remains of an Iron Age hill fort, a medieval castle, or a Victorian-era house, this can bring history alive for kids in a way that reading or watching videos simply can’t.

]]>The post When Should You Buy Your Kid a Phone? appeared first on parentztalk.com.
]]>If your child regularly has to get home from school due to your work pattern, it may be worth buying them a phone so that you can keep track of them and so that they can navigate their way home, whether they’re walking or taking public transport. In this scenario, buying your child a phone can provide you both with some peace of mind, and it will also deliver greater independence to your child which can be a really positive thing.
When children ask for a phone, they mean a smartphone. Most teens are desperate for the latest, coolest model which can access every app they desire and take plenty of sharp, detailed photos. However, if you want to reduce your parental anxieties about the safety of smartphones, why not buy your child an old-school mobile? This will enable them to text and call you should they need to, but they won’t have access to the Internet. Of course, this option is unlikely to be popular with your kid, so it may take some negotiating and an agreement as to what age you will agree to let them have a smartphone.
Before you make the final decision, it may be worth checking in with other parents and with teachers at your child’s school. It may turn out that your child’s peer group is currently struggling with some nasty cyberbullying via WhatsApp, or that parents in your circle have concerns about the influence of apps such as TikTok. Gaining this knowledge can help you to have conversations with your child about your expectations relating to their phone use, and it may even sway your final decision one way or another, so it’s definitely worth doing some investigating.

]]>While it might be surprising, some kids don’t spread rumors because of a specific desire to do so, but rather out of boredom. When there’s minimal drama going on and perhaps a lack of social activities to enjoy, your kids may get the itch to create some drama as a means of stirring up some excitement.
Everyone gets wronged at some point in their lives, however, not everyone has the same response to betrayals and feuds. Sometimes, your kids may seek to spread rumors to hurt the reputation or feelings of someone who has bullied or upset them. They may also just be feeling jealous of someone else, whether it’s because of their looks, intelligence, or talents.
Making friends and getting social approval are crucial for your kids, especially as they look to become accepted by their peers. If they are struggling socially, then perhaps they’ll look to use rumors as a tool to climb the social ladder.
