Retired NFL legend and Fox Sports analyst Tom Brady believes there is no harder job out there than parenting.
Brady is the father to 17-year-old John “Jack” Edward Thomas, 14-year-old Benjamin Rein, and 11-year-old Vivian Lake. During a recent appearance on Fortune Global Forum, the former quarterback opened up about his role as a parent and said out loud something most parents think.
“Being a parent is probably the hardest job all of us have,” Brady shared while recognizing that he has made his fair share of missteps.
“I don’t want to seem like I’m some expert in parenting because I’m certainly not that,” he added.
Brady also talked about his “parenting style,” saying that he always looks to support his kids the way his parents, Galynn and Tom Brady Sr., supported him.
“They never said, ‘Man, don’t do that. It’s gonna be too hard. Let’s do something different. Let’s think about another backup plan,’ “Brady told the audience. “They kinda said, ‘You know what? Go for it. Whatever you wanna be, go for it,’” Brady added.
Brady shares John Edward with actress and model Bridget Moynahan, whom he dated between 2002 and 2006. He welcomed Benjamin Rein and Vivian Lake with his ex-wife, model Gisele Bündchen. Brady and Bündchen got married in 2009 and divorced in 2022.
