Robin Thicke expects his 13-year-old son Julian to carry on his legacy and make a name for himself in the music world. In a recent chat with PEOPLE, Thicke shared that Julian is a talented performer and wants to take the same career path as his father.
“My son Julian has been following in Dad’s footsteps,” share Thicke. “He’s an amazing singer and an amazing performer.”
Thicke jokingly added that he would “love” for his son to follow in his footsteps but would prefer for Julian’s goals to be a bit higher.
“I would love for him to follow in my footsteps, but I’d rather he follow Barack Obama’s footsteps and become president or something like that. But he’s wonderful just the way he is,” Thicke shared.
Robin Thicke shares Julian with his actress and producer Paula Patton. Thicke and Patton were together for more than 20 years and married for nine before deciding to get a divorce in 2014.
Thicke has three more children with his current wife, model April Love Geary. The couple is parents to two daughters: five-year-old Mia Love and four-year-old Lola Alain, and a three-year-old son named Luca Patrick.
