]]>In a recent viral clip posted on TikTok, San Jose, California native Emily King described a funny mishap that happened to her while using Evite. King was organizing a birthday party for her one-year-old daughter and wanted to send out an online invite to her family and friends. But during the selection process, she clicked “Import Contacts” option that ended up sending the same invite to 487 of her contacts.
To make things worse, all of the contacts were addressed by the name under which they were stored in the phone. The list included” Derek Eye Roll” and “Jess Hit Her Car In Parking Lot.”
King’s video ended up receiving more than 12 million views, and other TikTok users found it quite funny. Some even suggested that Evite should sponsor the party, something that actually ended up happening.
In a follow-up clip, King explained that she managed to clean up the mess and explain to people that it was a mistake, with most of them being “good sport” about it. Evite stepped in by providing King with a DoorDash coupon she can use for food and drinks at the party.

]]>According to Damour, who is the author of three New York Times bestselling parenting books, if parents want to make just one rule about their use of technology for their teens, it should be that technology isn’t allowed in their bedroom. She proceeded to give three reasons for that.
The first reason is that without technology in their bedrooms, teenagers can get a better sleep.
“We know there’s a huge link between quality sleep and quality mental health,” Damour explains.
Next, Damour says that having their technology use confined to public spaces will make teens more cautious about it and make them remember that everything they do on the internet is in some manner public.
Lastly, it prevents teens from doing something they might regret later.
“Some of the most regrettable things I have seen teenagers do with their technology have been things that they do in the middle of the night, at like one in the morning when their brakes are weak, their impulses are strong,” Damour adds.

]]>TikToker @aims.lc recently shared a viral clip on social media in which she explains why she cooks dinner for her kids at 3 p.m.
According to @aims.lc, her kids woke from their nap around this time and were already hungry.
“They always wake up from their nap ravenous, so why not feed them the most amount of nutrients now, and then snack later?” she shares.
The video shows @aims.lc cooking various meals for her kids and feeding them before finally getting around to cooking something for the adults in the house. Since the kids have already eaten and are occupied with desserts, she and her husband can enjoy a peaceful meal.
“It frees up the rest of the night. Play games. I can do a workout. So, there’s no pressure. If they’re hungry later, we do bedtime toast,” @aims.lc adds.
The video, which has got 1.2 million views since being posted in February, got a lot of positive reactions from other TikTokers. One mom even tested out the same method and called it a “game changer”.

]]>Well, the answer to that question really comes down to how seriously you take life. And we mean that in a completely joking way. Simply put, cake smashes aren’t necessary, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do them. Are they silly? Sure. Are they also super adorable and cute and fun for the parents? Yes! So what’s wrong with that?
So to really answer this question, it’s really not about whether or not a cake smash is a silly trend. The question should be whether or not “silly” is a bad thing or not. Life isn’t meant to be taken seriously all of the time, and in fact, it’s imperative that we all let loose a little bit with fun occasions such as a cake smash. So in conclusion, have at it! Enjoy your baby’s cake smash, and don’t let anyone bring you down for it.

]]>Lee recently shared a clip on Instagram from the dinner she and her husband Alex prepared for Beverley and Roger to tell them that their family was becoming bigger. They chose not to tell them directly, but devised a plan to drop hints and see if the elderly couple could figure it out by themselves—they had their 19-month-old son Oakland wear a shirt with a “BROTHER” sign written on it.
When it became obvious that Beverley and Roger weren’t getting the message, Lee and Alex started making it more obvious. They encouraged Oakland to ask his grandparents about his outfit before telling the couple to take a better look at the inscription on the boy’s shirt.
With the grandparents struggling to read, Alex went ahead and placed the boy on the dinner table.
“Really!?” Beverley realizes. “Oh my God! Congratulations!”
Roger remains slightly confused for a moment before the message becomes clear to him as well.

The first step involves crossing the baby’s arms across their chest, mimicking a self-hug. This position seems to provide a sense of security and comfort to the baby, similar to swaddling, which is known to help babies feel snug and secure.
Next, the dad gently holds the baby’s arms in the crossed position and supports the baby between the legs. This hold is both secure and comforting, providing the baby with a sense of safety.
Finally, he gently rocks the baby forward and backward. This motion, combined with the secure hold, appears to have a calming effect. Remarkably, within 18 seconds, the baby stops crying and appears to be completely soothed!
