Watch an Adorable Toddler Practicing Traditional Mãori Dance With His Dad

It is important for parents to teach kids about their traditions and culture from a young age. One dad from New Zealand took this task quite seriously, and it resulted in an amazing TikTok clip.

TikTok user Hope Lawrence recently shared a video on social media that shows her husband and their 1-year-old toddler practicing the traditional Mãori dance known as Haka. The dance has a ceremonial purpose in Māori culture while also being considered a type of performance art.

In the clip, the dad can be seen showing the Haka to the toddler, who is attentively watching and repeating every move with impressive accuracy.

“Teach them the way young. Keep our culture going,” Lawrence wrote in the caption of the clip that went viral and received more than 59 million views since being shared a couple of weeks ago.

The video ended up generating a lot of attention on social media, and it is safe to say that internet users were delighted by it.

“The Haka is so powerful but seeing this father teaching his baby is so much more powerful. I am deeply moved,” one person wrote in the comments section.

“Baby haka is so freakin’ precious. I love this so much!,” another added.

Lawrence previously shared several other videos that show her toddler performing Haka, and they are equally adorable.
