Bobby Brown Shares Why He and His Wife “Do a Lot Of Hugging And Kissing” In Front Of The Kids

Some parents opt to tone down the affection between each other when in front of their kids, fearing it could have negative consequences on their development. However, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown are doubling down on it and have a great reason for that.

Speaking with People magazine, Brown revealed that the couple prefers to “do a lot of hugging and kissing” in front of their three children: 14-year-old Cassius, eight-year-old Bodhi, and seven-year-old Hendrix. According to the “Can You Stand the Rain” singer, they do this to show their kids that “love is for real.”

“We do a lot of hugging and kissing in front of the kids to show ’em that love is for real,” Brown told the media outlet. “How we feel about each other is for real.”

According to experts, showing affection like hugging and kissing in front of kids in not only okay but can also be beneficial for them if kept in appropriate range. This will show them that their parents love each other and that they enjoy spending time together. It also creates memories about how a healthy relationship looks like, which will be useful for them later in life.
