]]>Kardashian and West tied the knot in 2014, after two years of dating, and welcomed four children together. North was born in 2013, followed by Saint in 2015, while Chicago and Psalm were both born via surrogate in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation, and officially reached a divorce settlement with West in late 2022. Explaining their split to their four children was the most difficult part of the whole ordeal, and Kardashian’s priority was to make sure her kids feel loved and heard.
“You want to be sensitive because they’re just kids, and it’s hard to go through no matter what age. You have to make sure that you only go to a level that they can understand. It’s okay to show a vulnerable side. You never go to a negative side,” she recently told GQ.
Kardashian was around the same age that North was when her parents Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner divorced, and she tried to approach her separation the same way they did. She told GQ they handled things by “being open” and admitted she didn’t see it coming because they never fought in front of the kids.

She said it would be really amazing to have “a partner who would tap [her] out and take over and handle” and decided that hiring a male nanny is the best solution.
“I do think that my household and even our family is very female-dominated. I recently hired a manny. I really wanted a male around that would be picking them up and taking them to sports, and I was scared out of my mind to tell their dad that,” said Kardashian.
Despite her hesitation to share the news with her ex-husband Kanye West, he reacted pretty well. He quickly accepted the fact the manny was going to help raise his son and they even played two-on-two with the couple’s son Saint. Kardashian and West share three more children together – son Psalm and daughters Chicago and North.

She has four kids with her ex-husband Kanye West – Psalm, 4, Chicago, 5, and Saint, 7, and North, 10 – and she cherishes each and every moment they spend together.
Kardashian told CR Fashion Book that each of her kids is very different and explained how traveling helped them explore their individual passions.
“Lately, I have been traveling with each of my children separately to take them on some one-on-one time exploring different cultures and worlds. And at the same time, doing things that they are passionate about… I want all of my kids to be one hundred percent who they are,” she explained.
Her oldest daughter North is an aspiring artist, and Kardashian took to social media on several occasions to proudly show off her paintings. As for Saint, he’s a huge fan of soccer, and she enjoys taking him to see games around the world and bonding with him through sports.

She passed the “baby bar” law exam on her fourth attempt in late 2021, and this proved to be an important bonding moment between her and her daughter North.
Kardashian told Vogue Italia that her eldest daughter had a difficult time understanding why she was studying all the time, but this proved to be a crucial turning point in their relationship.
“She saw me fail and cry, she saw how I was no different than her when she was worried because of a test. But when she saw me cry from joy, I knew she understood how important that achievement was to me personally,” explained Kardashian.
She also addressed North’s relationship with social media in this interview and said she loves to record videos together, but she’s not dependent on her phone and that weeks can go by without her even using it.
