Taking care of children has long been considered a woman’s job, but the times are finally changing! Male nannies, aka mannies, are becoming increasingly popular, and Kim Kardashian recently revealed she hired one so her children could have a positive male presence in their lives.
During a recent episode of The Kardashians, the SKIMS founder admitted she always struggled with being strict because her parents never were. She said it would be really amazing to have “a partner who would tap [her] out and take over and handle” and decided that hiring a male nanny is the best solution.
“I do think that my household and even our family is very female-dominated. I recently hired a manny. I really wanted a male around that would be picking them up and taking them to sports, and I was scared out of my mind to tell their dad that,” said Kardashian.
Despite her hesitation to share the news with her ex-husband Kanye West, he reacted pretty well. He quickly accepted the fact the manny was going to help raise his son and they even played two-on-two with the couple’s son Saint. Kardashian and West share three more children together – son Psalm and daughters Chicago and North.
