Raising children on your own isn’t an easy terrain to navigate, and Kim Kardashian experienced the challenges of being a single parent first-hand. She recently opened up about the struggles of being a single mom and raising four kids without her ex-husband Kanye West.
The SKIMS founder appeared on the podcast On Purpose with Jay Shetty and touched upon many topics during her appearance, including the ups and downs of parenting. Kardashian has four children: daughters North and Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm, and she candidly discussed the challenges of raising them in the wake of her divorce.
Kardashian admitted that being a single mom is the most challenging thing and that there are nights when she cries herself to sleep.
“You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they’re fighting, and you know, there’s no one there. Like, it’s [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop, so that is definitely a challenge,” she explained.
Despite all the hardships, the reality star also said that being a parent is the most rewarding job on this planet, adding it teaches you so much more about yourself than any parent could have ever anticipated.
