Making dessert with your kids is a great way to get them involved in the cooking process, help them try new foods, and teach them some essential skills. Here are three super easy (yet tasty and kid-friendly) dessert options that your kids can lend a hand with.
Caramelized Bananas
Ingredients (to serve 4):
- 5 large, ripe bananas
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- To serve: yogurt, cream, or ice cream
Instructions:
- Heat the butter in a pan and stir in the sugar and cinnamon.
- Slice the bananas, arrange them in a baking tray, and drizzle over the flavored butter.
- Bake in an oven heated to 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
- Serve the bananas with a topping of your choice, taking care as they will be very hot when fresh from the oven.
Fruit and Nut Sundae
Ingredients (to serve 4):
- 1 tub of ice cream flavor of your choice
