You’ve probably heard moms talking about the term “mom reflexes” and perhaps experienced it yourself. It refers to a situation in which a mom senses her baby will be in danger or some kind of discomfort and reacts at the last moment.
Many people who are not parents themselves or haven’t experienced this phenomenon tend to be skeptical about “mom reflexes.” However, a recent video shared by content creator Liz Lovery proves they are real.
In a video posted on Instagram, Lovery is shown decorating her porch for Halloween. All of a sudden, she starts running to the stairs and gets there just in time to catch her daughter, who fell down and was extremely close to hitting her head on the sidewalk.
“MOM REFLEXES ARE REAL!” Lovery wrote in the caption of the video while adding that her daughter is “completely unharmed.”
Lovery’s video quickly spread across social media and received 2.5 million and 184K likes on Instagram alone. Internet users also flocked to the comments section to share how amazed they were by Lovery’s reaction and crack a few jokes along the way.
“Mom powers are unmatched,” one person wrote.
“Save this video for when the child becomes a teenager and says you never do anything for them,” another added.
