This Scone-Based Pizza is the Perfect Meal

Pizza is many kids’ favorite food, but buying it can be expensive, and perfecting Italian-style pizza dough at home is tricky. Why not try this scone-based dough, which is simpler to make and seriously tasty? Top it as you would any pizza, and in half an hour you can have homemade pizza ready on the table.

Ingredients (to make a 12-inch pizza base):

  • 1 1/4 cups of plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of milk

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oven to 390F.
  2. Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl, then rub in the butter.
  3. Next, whisk the eggs and milk together, then stir this into the dry ingredients to make a dough.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, shape the dough into a round.
  5. Place this onto your baking tray, top with whichever toppings you prefer, and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
