Ingredients (to make 12):
- 2 cups of oats, half rolled and half jumbo oats
- 1 cup of golden syrup
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of light brown sugar
- 1 cup of ground nuts (any mix will work)
Instructions:
- Melt the butter, sugar, and golden syrup in a pan until it creates a thick, dark syrup. Don’t let it boil or burn.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the oats and nuts.
- Stir through the melted sugar and butter into the oats, ensuring that everything is evenly coated.
- Grease and line an 8-inch x 8-inch baking tray. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Pour the mix into the baking tray and press it down firmly using a spatula.
