Celebrities have different ways in which they react to trolling attempts by random internet users. Most celebs just ignore them, some offer witty comebacks, while American singer Pink uses them as an opportunity to teach her 12-year-old daughter Willow important life lessons.
Pink recently turned 44, and social media users rushed to offer happy birthday congratulations. However, one X (social media formerly known as Twitter) user decided to offer her congratulations by attaching a photo of British stand-up comedian Suzy Izzard instead of the one depicting the “What About Us” singer.
The post caught Pink’s attention, and she decided to respond to it in a manner that amazed the internet.
“Thank you so much,” Pink began her response. “I just showed my 12-year-old daughter your post. I explained to her that I’ve never met you, I don’t know you, and I have no idea why you would go out of your way to be hateful.“
Pink then noted that the user’s post proved to be a lesson-worthy moment for Willow.
“It was a good lesson in ignorance,” she added.
Pink shares Willow and six-year-old son Jameson with husband and motocross star Carey Hart. The singer often shares behind-the-scenes moments with her family on social media and provides insights into her life as a mother.
