Paris Hilton Says Being a Mom Helped Her Learn “How to Say No”

Being a parent can change a person and their approach to life in various ways. For reality star and businesswoman Paris Hilton, being a mom to 10-month-old Phoenix Barron helped her learn “how to say no.”

Hilton opened up on motherhood in a recent chat with PEOPLE magazine and said that she is constantly trying to find a balance between the role of a mother and her other occupations and interests. But she always has her son as her “first priority” and doesn’t hesitate to miss out on things to spend time with him.

“I’m constantly saying no to things, because I just want to spend as much time with him as possible, and I just don’t want to miss any of these special moments in his life and all these milestones,” Hilton said.

Hilton shares Phoenix Barron with her husband Carter Reum. They welcomed the baby boy in January 2023, revealing that he was born via surrogacy.

Hilton and Reum started dating in 2019. The couple got engaged in early 2021, with the wedding ceremony taking place in November of the same year. Phoenix is Hilton’s first child, while Reum also has a daughter from his previous marriage with actress Laura Bellizzi.
