Kristen Bell And Dax Shepard Prove That Opposites Attract

Many people are looking for that special person that has the same interests and basically are the male or female versions of themselves. But what they don’t know is that opposites actually attract. Actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard know all about that. The couple couldn’t be more different from one another.

Kristen is, while Dax is a total rebel and yet the two seem to be made for one another. Kristen (37) is an all American good girl who grew up in a Christian household but Dax (42) has had a completely different life than his significant other. He is more of a rebel and has struggled with substance abuse in the past. The couple met back in 2007 at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Dax wasn’t head over heels in love with Kristen right away though. He actually thought she and her friends were way too bubbly. “When I met her and her friends, I was suspicious of their unbridled happiness. I thought, ‘something stinks here; they’re in a cult,” Dax said.

When the soon-to-be lovebirds met again two weeks later, sparks started flying and they began dating. They have been each other’s rocks and have been inseparable ever since. They claim it’s due to their regular visits to a therapist for some couple’s counseling sessions. The two are very open about their therapy sessions because they believe that’s what keeps their relationship going strong. According to Kristen therapy is not something people should be embarrassed about.

Because she and Dax started seeing a therapist when they first started dating, they were able to tackle lots of bumps in the road right away instead of letting it be an issue later on in the relationship. “In my previous relationship, we went to couples therapy at the end, and that’s often too late,” Dax said.
