Olivia Munn and John Mulaney got married earlier this year, and they just shared some more amazing news with the world. They became the proud parents of their second child together, daughter Méi June Mulaney, who was born via surrogate earlier this month.
Munn announced the happy news by posting a photo of Mulaney and herself holding their newborn daughter in a hospital room. She was born on September 14, and Munn revealed that her name Méi June Mulaney was inspired by the Chinese word for plum.
The couple’s second child was born via surrogate, and Munn said that words cannot express the couple’s gratitude that she kept their baby safe for nine months and made their dreams come true.
“I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel,” Munn wrote on Instagram.
Munn and Mulaney also share a son Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney, who was born in November 2021. Giving natural birth the second time around wasn’t an option for Munn, who revealed she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
