Mariah Carey Reveals How She’s Adjusting to Her Twins Almost Becoming Teens

Seeing your tweens become teens is quite an adjustment for every parent, including the R&B superstar Mariah Carey. She recently opened up about watching her kids grow older and said it’s “actually really beautiful” to see them reach the next stage of their lives.

Carey discussed her holiday campaign with The Children’s Place in a new interview with People and took a moment to discuss the fact her twins are coming of age. The singer said it’s important not to “rush all of our lives” because it’s amazing to witness every stage of her kids’ journey.

“They’re good, nice kids. They’re kind-hearted people, and I really enjoy being around them and watching them grow up into the people that they’re ultimately going to become,” she told People.

Carey has two children from her marriage with Nick Cannon: fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe. They were born on April 30, 2011, and the former couple has been sharing custody ever since they went their separate ways in 2014.

Carey is plotting a 13-date concert tour Merry Christmas One and All! this holiday season, but that won’t stop you from spending the big day with her family. She’s looking forward to celebrating the holidays with Moroccan and Monroe, and she told People they have their own Christmas traditions, such as rolling in the snow, jumping in the hot tubs, making traditional Christmas meals, and playing games such as Heads Up! and Taboo.
