Lisa Ann Walter Shares Mom Advice She Gave to “The Parent Trap” Co-Star Lindsay Lohan

It’s been 25 years since Lisa Ann Walter and Lindsay Lohan starred in The Parent Trap, but their bond is still strong. Lohan recently gave birth to her first child, and Walter made sure to reach out to offer her congratulations and support.

Lohan got her big break while playing twins Hallie and Annie in the classic 1998 comedy The Parent Trap. Walter, who became a household name thanks to her role in the acclaimed sitcom Abbott Elementary, initially landed one of her very first movie roles in The Parent Trap as Hallie’s nanny.

It’s been 25 years since this movie came out, but she couldn’t resist sending “a little package and a letter” to Lohan after she gave birth, in addition to offering some parenting advice.

“She posted something and I think it was about being tired, and I immediately go into that mom mode of ‘nap when he does, make sure you get sleep, it doesn’t matter what you look like — you’re in great shape,’ just all the advice that comes out. But she’s just doing so well,” Walter told People.

Lohan welcomed her first child with her husband Bader Shammas in July, and they named him Luai — an Arabic word meaning shield or protector.
