Khloé Kardashian is now a proud mom of two kids, but there was a period of time when her daughter True was all on her own. Even before her son Tatum was born, the reality star always knew she wanted to have more than one child, and she recently explained why it was so important for True to have a sibling.
Kardashian gave birth to True Thompson in 2018, while her son Tatum was born via surrogate in 2022. She shares both children with the basketball player Tristan Thompson, but their on-and-off relationship has been pretty rocky, and they split up before Tatum was born.
Kardashian had a strong support system with her siblings growing up, and she recently revealed how important it was for her to give the same thing to her daughter.
“When my dad passed, my mom – regardless of how incredible and amazing she is – she couldn’t understand the pain we felt. And so for True, I was like, ‘I need her to have someone.’ It’s just inevitable that both of her parents at some point will go. And I just need her to have that support system,” she told Bustle.
Kardashian also opened up about how having kids changed her outlook on life. The reality star said she learned how to give herself grace after becoming a mom and realized she doesn’t have to try and be perfect all the time.
