Jenna Dewan is currently expecting her third child with fiancé Steve Kazee, and she’s enjoying every step of this journey. She recently opened up about the experience of welcoming another baby in her 40s and said she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Dewan shares an 11-year-old daughter Everly with her ex-husband Channing Tatum and has a 4-year-old son Callum with her fiancé Steve Kazee. She’s currently expecting their second child together, and she opened up about reentering motherhood in a recent interview with People.
“It feels like I always knew that this would probably be the path for me, even as a kid. I think I knew life got better as I got older if that makes sense… Life’s only shown me that the more time I have in this life, the more I’ve learned, the better experiences I’ve had,” she explained.
Dewan said that she probably feels this way because she believes that raising kids “keeps you in a youthful place because that’s what you’re around.”
Dewan also opened up about her co-parenting journey and said that getting adapted to the new normal of a blended family is a learning curve. She also added that she’s planning to keep working after giving birth, but she’ll have to make some “lifestyle and home changes” to accommodate her busy schedule.
