Jake Gyllenhaal Says He Would Love to Have Kids After Watching His Sister Raise Her Own

Jake Gyllenhaal is no stranger to being an amazing uncle, but could becoming a dad be in the cards for the Oscar-nominated actor? Gyllenhaal recently said that he would love having a family of his own after watching his sister Maggie raise her two daughters.

Gyllenhaal has been dating French model Jeanne Cadieu for five years, and he told People that their relationship is all about “growing together and listening and being open.” The Brokeback Mountain star also said he would love to have a family, especially if it was anything like the family that his sister raised and cultivated.

His sister and fellow actress Maggie Gyllenhaal is the mother of two daughters with Peter Sarsgaard – Ramona, 16, and Gloria, 11. Their relationship is such an important part of Jake Gyllenhaal’s life that he made them the stars of his new children’s book The Secret Society of Aunts and Uncles, which he co-wrote with his childhood friend Greta Caruso.

“They were so excited that there was a book and really moved. And also my sister was too, which really meant a lot to me. I sent her drafts to read and she cried at all of them. She’s a tough audience. So it’s a book also about my sister and my brother-in-law who’ve raised two incredible girls,” the actor told People.
