If you’re expecting a child, you’re probably going through all kinds of emotions right now. As the months go on and on and your baby continues to grow, you’ll be required to attend multiple OBGYN appointments so that they can ensure that everything with your baby is going well. However, sometimes these doctors may make a small comment about your baby’s growth that can send all of your worries into overdrive. Here’s what to do if that happens.
Remember They Have To Protect Themselves
It’s super important to remember the real reason that your doctor is telling you that your baby could potentially be at risk for a certain, or whatever it is, heaven forbid. It’s not because they have a terrible bedside manner, and it’s not because they’re actually worried about your baby being at risk. More often than not, they say these things to protect themselves against lawsuits. Because of the very low likelihood that something unfortunate does happen, they don’t want to get sued for not saying anything. So don’t allow yourself to worry so much about their statements, because it means nothing most of the time.
Control What You Can Control
But it’s also important to look at things from a proper perspective. Ultimately, whatever happens happens, and there’s only so much you can do. The best thing you can do is focus on what you can control and do the best you can to take care of your baby by being healthy and eating right. Beyond that, try your best to stay positive and keep a brave face.
