Healthy Dessert Ideas for Kids

No matter how well you feed them with dinner, kids always want dessert. But so many shop-bought desserts are filled with unreasonable amounts of sugar and fat and stacked full of ultra-processed ingredients. Here are some ideas for healthy desserts that are easy to make at home, but will still satisfy their sweet tooth.

Baked Apple and Pear

Preheat your oven to 350 ℉. Simply slice up some apples and pears and add them to a baking tray. Add a few tablespoons of water, and then sprinkle over some cinnamon, nutmeg, and some brown sugar. Place this into the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes, until soft and brown.

Greek Yogurt, Fruit, and Honey

This one is so simple to put together but also so tasty. Just add a dollop of Greek yogurt into a bowl, and drizzle over some honey. You can then add whichever fruit you like such as grapes or strawberries, or you could use maple syrup instead of honey.

Banana and Peanut Butter Bites

Slice up some bananas into discs. Onto one of these, dollop a teaspoon of peanut butter, and then place another banana slice on top. You can poke a cocktail stick through to make these easier to eat.
