Brianne Howey is no stranger to playing a young mom thanks to her role in Ginny & Georgia, and she’ll be able to rely on personal parenting experience next season. Howey became a mom in real life after giving birth to her first child with her husband Matt Ziering.
Howey broke the happy news by sharing a photo of her newborn cuddled on her chest, and captioned it with the words “My whole world just got a whole lot sweeter. And smaller. Welcome my little love,” followed by a yellow heart emoji.
Howey made her pregnancy official back in March when she shared a photo showing off her baby bump in a form-fitting Hugo Boss dress. She later told The Messenger that motherhood is “a bit of a steep learning curve”, but added that she’s looking forward to approaching this next chapter of her life.
Howey has been preparing for motherhood for years, with the titular role of free-spirited Georgia Miller, who became a mom as a teen. Georgia’s love for her children has always been Howey’s favorite side of this character.
“Definitely the mom part. I think Ginny and Austin are her pride and joy. There’re her reasons for living and Georgia says they’re her future. I think they bring out the best in Georgia in my opinion,” she told Today.
