There is no excuse whatsoever for having to take the kids to boring parks. So much creativity can be used to ensure that kids have the best time when they are out to play and to let off some steam. And as far as we are concerned, if the Danes can do it, then so can everyone and everywhere else!
It would seem that LEGO is not the only company which gives kids (and adults!) the freedom to celebrate and explore their imagination. Another Danish company MONSTRUM, founded by former theater set designers Ole Barslund Nielsen and Christian Jensen has, since 2003 been in the business of creating unique, one-of-a-kind playgrounds, and from the pictures we have seen we can confirm that these playground are the stuff that dreams are made of.
MONSTRUM started to create elaborate and whimsical playgrounds in 2003 and since then playgrounds with many different themes have been built with such exciting equipment as giant electric eels swirling around a lighthouse, princess towers, rocket ship mashups, solar reflections, giant birds, a blue whale with a hollow stomach and more. These playgrounds have not just been built in Denmark, and can be found in cities in Denmark, Sweden, Egypt, and other countries.
So next time you take the kids to the park you may enjoy playtime more than them!
