Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford have been happily married for over a decade, and their family just got a little bit bigger. The Oscar-nominated actress confirmed she’s given birth to their third child together in a recent Vogue cover story.
Mulligan didn’t make a splashy announcement regarding the birth of her third child, but her pregnancy was revealed in Vogue’s November cover story. The reporter noted she was six weeks postpartum during the interview and entered a London coffee shop carrying her baby.
Mulligan married Mumford on a charming farm in Somerset, England in 2011, with 200 guests in attendance. They’re proud parents of the seven-year-old daughter Evelyn Grace and the five-year-old son Wilfred, while the name of their third child together remains a mystery.
Mulligan previously revealed she was struggling with postpartum depression after giving birth, and playing reporter Meghan Twohey in the acclaimed drama She Said helped her reframe this experience.
“One of the parts of the script that hit me initially the most was Megan’s experience with postnatal depression. I had a very similar experience with my first child seven years ago, and felt very alone, and very scared, and also very confused by the whole experience,” she told People.
