The family of Charlie’s Angels star Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden, founder of rock band Good Charlotte, has gotten bigger. The couple announced on Instagram that they have welcomed a baby boy named Cardinal Madden.
“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and We are all so happy he is here!,” it says in a caption of a post jointly shared by Diaz and Madden on their respective Instagram accounts.
The couple also added that they won’t be posting photos of Cardinal but stated that “he’s a really cute.” Their announcement was accompanied with an artwork that featured words: “A little bird whispered to me.”
Diaz and Madden became parents for the first time in 2019 when they welcomed a baby girl named Raddix. At the time, they also said they wouldn’t be posting any photos of their child, saying they “feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy.”
Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden met in 2014 after being introduced to each other by a mutual friend, reality star Nicole Richie. Diaz and Madden married on January 5, 2015, at a private ceremony.
Diaz has been retired from acting since 2014 but recently made her comeback in Netflix action-comedy Back in Action. She is also set to star in the upcoming black comedy Outcome, which also features Jonah Hill and Keanu Reeves.
Madden, on the other hand, has lately taken a break from music and focused on various business ventures, including a streaming platform called Veeps.
