Anne Hathaway is a proud mom of two children, but her postpartum journey hasn’t been easy. The Oscar-winning actress recently opened up about the pressure women face after giving birth and said it’s okay to let your “body be a body” and give it time to fully recover.
Hathaway turned 40 last year and her recent red carpet looks attracted a lot of attention due to her youthful appearance. Her fans often praised her for aging gracefully, but Hathaway admitted this wasn’t easy, especially after she became a mom.
Hathaway admitted that her postpartum journey has been rocky, but she felt a lot better about it after finding out that it takes three years for your body to fully recover after pregnancy.
“I didn’t snap back. I want to be very, very clear about that. With my second, it took every minute of those three years. And it’s cool. Let your body be a body. There’s nowhere to get to. It’s just now. Just be present and take care of yourself and don’t set expectations,” she told People.
Hathaway married actor and businessman Adam Shulman back in 2012, and they’re proud parents of two children together – son Jonathan, born in 2016, and Jack, born in 2019.
