Amanda Seyfried Opens Up About Juggling Parenting and Full-Time Career

Juggling career and family life is one of the biggest challenges that many modern mothers face—including those in Hollywood. Mean Girls star Amanda Seyfried is no different, and she recently opened up about the ups and downs of raising two kids with a full-time career.

Seyfried set down with People to discuss her recently launched line of children’s playhouses Make It Cute. In addition to talking about this project she started alongside her best friends Anne Hoehn and Maureen North, she also reflected on her parenting journey.

The Mamma Mia star is married to fellow actor Thomas Sadoski and they have two children together—daughter Nina and son Thomas, who are 6 and 2 years old. She admitted it’s a struggle to explain the unusual nature of her job to her kids, especially her son, and she always tries to make her work trips “quick, so quick” to spend more time at home with them.

“I have a full-time career and two kids. It’s a lot of work, but I love it. My family is very supportive of it… For sure it sounds like it’s chaotic, and it is in some ways, but I’ve also found so much peace in where I live. Plus, my mom lives with me which helps,” the Emmy-winning actress told People.
