Legendary weather anchor and TV personality Al Roker recently went on social media to share some happy news with his followers; he became a grandpa for the first time.
Roker’s daughter Courtney Roker Laga and her husband, Wes Laga, welcomed their first child earlier this week. The baby girl was named Sky Clara Laga, which many believe was in honor of her famous granddad and his status as America’s most recognizable weatherman.
Roker went on Instagram and shared several photos of Sky Clara, including one in which he is holding her in his arms. He couldn’t hide his happiness and made it clear that he is already coming up with ways to spoil his only grandchild.
“And then this little girl came into my life. Welcome to the world, Sky Clara Laga,” wrote Roker in the caption. “In love all over again. Thank you, Courtney and Wes for such a perfect blessing. Your baby is beautiful. Already planning the ways to spoil her and then hand her back.”
Courtney Roker Laga and Wes Laga shared the news they were expecting their first child together back in March. The couple made an announcement on Instagram via an adorable video that featured Brent Morgan’s cover of “Always Be My Baby” as a music theme.
