As much as we love our babies, they can certainly be a handful from time to time. One of the hardest things to do is to put them to sleep when they’re just not in the mood. Here are some helpful tips that’ll optimize the possibility of your baby falling asleep sooner rather than much, much later.
Play With Them
Sometimes, your baby can be extremely tired, but they’re just not in a good mood. The key is to somehow get them in a good mood, and if you can do that, they’ll be a lot more keen to close their eyes and relax. Play games such as “peekaboo” with them to get them in their sleep zone.
Another way to summon your baby’s “zen” is to play some music. You can sing to them, play an actual instrument (if you can), or simply play some relaxing music on your phone. This is a surefire way to get them in a good headspace.
Lie Down Near Them
Finally, another great way to ensure your child falls asleep quickly is to lie down next to them. You may not be able to go into their crib, but lying down near the crib will soothe them and provide them with additional comfort until they fall asleep.
